User Authentication using Clever

Clever Instant Login ( is a free service offered to districts that makes it easy for them to set up single-sign-on (SSO) for their students.  Clever will work with your school or district to connect to your school’s existing systems.  School districts log into Clever approved applications.  Once your school approves the application, teachers and students can log in with one click. 


Uses Student’s existing username and password. Students do not have to learn a new username or password.

Easy to choose what schools/users to enable and what data to share.

Districts must be enrolled in Clever’s Instant Login program (free for districts). Sign up here
Access to must be restricted to the licensed users of the account.


Setting up Clever Instant Login with

Step 1: Log into as an account Administrator and go to

Click the “Request Clever Authentication” button and submit the form.  

Step 2: Make sure you log in as a district Administrator and search for in the Clever application section.

Step 3: Add the app and approve the request to share data with all of your schools.

Step 4: Your Clever Instant login should now be active.  Try logging in as a teacher or student from your Clever Portal.


Your account manager will follow up with you once they receive the request you submitted in Step 1 to link your subscription if necessary and provide any additional support if required.
